The layout, too, is eye-catching, very different, and\u003cbr\u003euser-friendly.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan style=\"font-size: 14px;\"\u003e\u003cspan color=\"black\" face=\"Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif\" style=\"color: black; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\"\u003eThis is simply an entertaining book. Wright (probably best\u003cbr\u003eknown for Johnny Jupiter), who appeared in many live productions, gives\u003cbr\u003eus an insider's look at breaking into the medium, staying there and\u003cbr\u003eall the problems that could arise. His passages are told in bold-face\u003cbr\u003etype, and give the book a tone that is distinctively of the time.\u003cbr\u003eSandra, who proficiently organizes these reminisces of Wright's, adds\u003cbr\u003evaluable facts and figures from these early years, while also\u003cbr\u003einterviewing other performers and gathering quotes from other sources.\u003cbr\u003eThe story quoted from director Kenneth Whelan about a baby that looked\u003cbr\u003e\"like a well-basted turkey\" was very amusing, as is an animal story\u003cbr\u003eby Alan Young. I must admit I've always been partial toward reading\u003cbr\u003eabout on-set flubs and disasters, and this book has a fair share of\u003cbr\u003ethese experiences. I'm a sucker for a good on-the-air problem!\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan style=\"font-size: 14px;\"\u003e\u003cspan color=\"black\" face=\"Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif\" style=\"color: black; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\"\u003eThis nostalgic book was so enjoyable, so readable, I\u003cbr\u003eregretted when it finished. If anything, this book is just too short.\u003cbr\u003eBut, then, that could well be the beauty of it. The writers leave us\u003cbr\u003ewanting more. If you buy any anecdotal book, this should be it.\u003cbr\u003eThere's not a boring part in here, no need to skim through passages\u003cbr\u003ethat are of no interest. Rare, behind-the-scenes photos are great.
